Sancerre Rouge - Les Graveron 2016
Le Graverons is sourced from vines planted in 1997 on a 1ha plot at the top of La Côte des Monts Damnés (Chavignol) on a rich terroir of Kimmeridgian marls. A rich and complex expression of Pinot Noir from Sancerre not to be missed.
A deep-colored wine with garnet shades which is presenting a complex nose of black berry and fresh caramel notes. It then opens on intense notes of red fruits, chocolate and spices. The attack is fresh. The fine and silky tannins give a full-bodied wine which has a lacy structure. « Le Graveron » is unctuous with a brilliant end on notes of chocolate flavoured red fruits.
Can be tasted with red or white meats such as a prime rib or with minced poultry with morels.
