'Solange' Methode Traditionnelle Marlborough Blanc de Noirs
Successor to our ‘Chapel Block’ and named after Henri Bourgeois’ wife; the ‘Solange’ Methode Traditionnelle honours her memory and her importance at Clos Henri. As the namesake for our famous Chapel, Solange carefully stands guard over the small parcels of Pinot Noir which grow in the Chapel’s view.
Delicate and capricious; offering delicately flavoured white juice, Pinot Noir provides the perfect base for our Blanc de Noirs.
Excerpts taken from Solange’s actual handwriting, form the centre of the label. It is a sparkling wine with vivacity and elegance much like its namesake, it dances on the palate, the same way the native Tussock Butterfly flits across our clay bound hills.

"Solange is the name of the Bourgeois family’s Grand mother…..there’s a mineral core to this wine with white fleshed fruits and a fine leesy core with a citrus edge. Lime and citrus, a touch of elderflower and white spice, delicious, fresh, dry and lengthy. The mousse is elegant, the acidity bold, a wine that will match oysters perfectly.
