This Méthode Traditionnelle has rested undisturbed for 10 years, allowing evolution with grace."

Successor to our ‘Chapel Block’ and named after Henri Bourgeois’ wife; the ‘Solange’ Methode Traditionnelle honours her memory and her importance at Clos Henri. As the namesake for our famous Chapel, Solange carefully stands guard over the small parcels of Pinot Noir which grow in the Chapel’s view.

The result is a wine of exceptional complexity, where delicate notes of honey, mandarin and hazelnut intertwine with a vibrant, persistent mousse. The extended contact with the yeast has lent a remarkable texture – a refined creaminess that lingers gently on the palate.

We are thrilled to share this limited release with you, we feel that it tells the tale of the meticulous care taken to craft this wine and speaks of a quiet confidence in the transformative power of time.

We present this late-disgorged bottling simply, allowing the wine itself to be the true expression of its exceptional vintage and extended maturation. It is a wine to be savoured slowly, in good company, a reminder that some of the best pleasures are those that unfold with quiet elegance.
